Support and Training

Training

While the wxWidgets manual is an invaluable source of information, it may be easier to learn programming with the library in a more structured and guided way. To make this possible, we propose a course of wxWidgets lectures covering everything from the very beginning to the use of advanced library features and passing by the thorough explanation of subjects such as event handling or creating widget layouts using sizers. Please see the complete plan for all the topics covered. You can also preview the examples of a few of almost 200 slides shown during the lectures presentation on subjects such as GUI event loops, rich message dialog, standard button sizers, Unicode changes in wxWidgets 3.0 or comparison of various tabular controls.

The course also includes exercises to ensure that the concepts being explained are well assimilated. The total duration of the course is 5 days but it may also be condensed to a shorter (1-2 days) introductory form and may be further customized to address specific requests.

Support Contracts

wxWidgets has an active and friendly user community to which you can turn for support on either the mailing list or the discussion forum and usually quickly receive the answer to your questions. However, these support channels, being free, don't provide any guarantees while the commercial support contracts that we offer do provide guaranteed response time for your questions or bug fix requests, as well as phone/Skype and high priority email support. Please contact us for more details and pricing.
